Paraiso de la Bonita - Thalasso Centre - Riviera Maya, Mexico
Health Spa - Located on the sugar-white beaches of the Caribbean's
Riviera Maya, Paraiso de la Bonita is a 14-acres oasis, carved
from the tropical selva, and combining the elegance of traditional
Mexican achitecture with the great Mayan culture that is a hallmark
of this region.
Each
of the resort's 90 suites, with their manoseado platered walls,
decorative ironwork and colonial archways, are a blend unique
antiuqes and accessories collected from around the world, where
you can expect marble en suites that are more like works of art,
and modern amenities such as Internet access, TV's with DVD players
and more. Overlooking the sparkling Caribbean, all of these Mexico
Health Spa suites have large glass doors opening onto a private
terrace; many also enjoy a small, private plung pool.
The
Bali Suite is the resort's most spectacular, offering the spacious
comfort and elegance of a Mexican casa, richly accented with distinctive
antiques and fabrics from Indonesia. The two bedrooms each has
its own living room with private entrance and private terrace
and pool, while the elegant dining room, featuring a beautiful
handcrafted marble table on Balinese lion heads, is atteneded
to by a personal butler who caters to every need throughout your
stay.
Dining
options at Paraiso de la Bonita include La Canoa, an outstanding
restaurant specializing in seafood prepared by chefs from the
open tiled kitchen, the Restaurant Terrace where regional dishes
enjoy a Fresh flair, and the Outdoor Grill. The library Lounge
Bar, stacked with books, is a favourite haven.
This
Mexico Health Spa's main draw is its Thalasso Centre, lavish 2,000
sq meter (22,000 sq ft) facility, that is first of its kind in
Central America. Featuring 17 treatment rooms, some with breathtaking
views of the ocean, the center offers an impressive range of treatments:
body wraps exfoliations, anti cellulite treatments, presso-therapy,
hydrotherapy, Reiki, reflexology, Shiatsu, lymphatic drainage,
sport and Swedish masses. There's also a swimming pool, tennis
court, fitness area and classes in yoga, tai-chi, aqua-gym and
walking.
Its
specialty, however, is Thalassotherapy, an ancient technique that
uses freshly heated seawater and mineral-rich marine algaes to
water-massages the body. This therapy is applied under medical
supervision and is known to provide significant curative and preventive
benefits to the body, such as arthritis and easing circulatory
problems. The outdoor thalassotherapy pool is real treat.
But
then the entire resort is like an Eden, a tranquil retreat where
the sea helps to wash away aches, pains and stress-filled thoughts,
and mcuh, much more. Paraiso de la Bonita mean, "beautiful
paradise", whcih really says it all.
The
Bali Suite - The Resort's most luxurious suite, 3,000
square feet, decorated in an Indonesian motif. Each of the Suite's
two bedrooms has its own living room, with private entrance and
individual terrace and pool.
